Port Townsend

A classic maritime community.A place to see, touch and smell maritime history with your own eyes, hands and nose.

There are two options for overnight/transient moorage.

Option A ~ Point Hudson Marina.

Reservations are usually necessary, so plan ahead. Located at the east end of Water Street (the main drag), you are close to all the fun and eclectic shops that weave the unique fabric of this historic town. If you are cruising in the fall, a high school football game at Memorial Field is as authentic as it comes.

#FunTable ~ Sirens Pub. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Karaoke on Thursday’s at last check!

Option B ~ The Boat Haven Marina

At first glance it may appear to be very pedestrian “Marina with a boatyard”. It does have, arguably, the most authentic boat yard in the northwest with craftsmen able to tend to any maritime need you have and a marine supply store (Admiral Ship Supply), but, it is so much more. While you are a few blocks away from”Downtown PT”, there are a few must see spots in and around the boat yard.

(If you find yourself in need of service or repairs, the bulk of the services are located next to the Boat Haven. Sea Marine is located in Point Hudson.)

In the boatyard area, 50 feet from the marina ramp you will find the Marina Cafe. Jen makes fresh muffins/pastries/ scones every day. Fresh coffee, tea or espresso is available. A soup of the day, hot and cold sandwiches are available until sold out. Which happens by 1:30 or 2 every weekday. The Blue Moose is in the heart of the yard. Great simple food, an old school time capsule like lunch experience.

A block away, toward town, is the Pourhouse. ( #FunTable ) A craft beer and bottle shop. The amazing asset here is the outdoor area. A live music stage, ping pong table and bocce ball court… on the beach. Right on the beach. It’s the best view/location of a beer/wine drinking spot in Puget Sound. Really.

A “must visit” while in Port Townsend is the Northwest Maritime Center. Keeping the maritime history and traditions alive.
