Fisherman’s BayNavigation Note (1): When coming from the north there is a rock that at extreme high-tides can be completely submerged.
Navigation Note (2): Once inside the entrance channel, make sure to stay to the left of the red maker. Everything to the south is very shallow! Islands Marine CenterThis is the first marina that you see as you enter Fisherman’s Bay. There is transient moorage here and if you need any repairs or maintanence while you are up in the islands this is one of the best. Ron and Jennifer opened the Island’s Marine Center in 1972, literally out of the back of a Volkswagen, over the years they have likely seen it all!
Lopez Islander ResortThe pace on Lopez is a very relaxed and calming. Once you get situated, open a beverage, have a look around, toast your crew…and exhale. The kids can head up to the pool. You should walk the docks, meet your neighbors! The resort has a shuttle ($5 each way) available to take you to the village if you need anything from the market. If you are looking for off-boat dining, the Islander has a restaurant and bar on-site. Depending on your family and/or group you have some options for the evening. If hanging on the dock is your thing, perfect. If you are looking for some live entertainment the Islander’s bar usually has some great rock and roll bands on tap for you. A little added adventure for dinner includes about a ½ mile walk south along Fisherman’s bay to The Galley Restaurant. The food is amazing and if you time it right you get to enjoy a sunset walk back to the marina.
The Galley does have two mooring buoys and a dinghy dock for boater use!
