Squalicum Harbor Marina

All of your boating needs are satisfied right here in Squalicum Harbor. Marine services, restaurants, beautiful views… ahhh the sunsets are amazing!
The one current limitation is a lack of a grocery store in the marina.

Historic Fairhaven

Fairhaven is a great little neighborhood on the SW side of Bellingham, a destination that is just quirky enough to create a unique overnight get-away.

Currently there is not a marina that accommodates overnight moorage in the Fairhaven area.

There are municipal mooring buoys and a good area for anchorage however. Once you are secured there is a nice dinghy dock to assist going ashore.

At the top of the pier is the Chrysalis Inn and their amazing spa. After a short walk into “Downtown Fairhaven” and you will find a wonderful collection of shops and restaurants. Another block to the south you will find the Fairhaven Market taking care of any grocery needs you may have.
It is a transportation hub as well with both the Alaska Ferry and Amtrak terminal residing down on the Bellingham Cruise Terminal.
Each April the Bellingham Bay Rendezvous kicks off the maritime fun in the Fairhaven Neighborhood. The picture of the Schooner Zodiac with other vessels in the backround gives you an idea of what it is all about.

There are marine services here in Fairhaven as well.
There is Community Boating Center that rents kayaks and sailboats to explore the bay.

Transportation Options

Are you looking to get to the San Juans without having to drive and leave a car anywhere? Or are you having folks join you up in the islands anywhere?
Jump on the train to Bellingham, tranfer on the a water taxi and then get off anywhere you need to go.

Amtrak

The Amtrak train can bring you from Tacoma, Seattle, Edmonds and Everett to bring you to Bellingham, right across the street from the Bellingham Cruise Terminal.
