May 5, 2012, the 92nd Annual Opening Day of boating!
Our gracious host for the day is the Seattle Yacht Club. We will cover as much as we can, from the opening ceremonies on the lawn to the crew races and of course the parade.
The Opening Day Parade is a Seattle icon and it continues to be one of the world’s largest boat parades. If you aren’t able to make it to down to Portage Bay or the Montlake Cut to enjoy the festivities you can “vicariously” join us here on Cruising Northwest!
The opening ceremonies will begin around 8:45am… and then it all begins. We are very excited to have an insiders view thanks to the Seattle Yacht Club!
